About the Cottage

Kiltyrie Cottage is a two bedroom, four bed holiday cottage in the Scottish Highlands. It is part of a converted steading, set on the hillside above Loch Tay. It has amazing views over the loch and towards the surrounding mountains.

The cottage is set back from the road and enjoys a peaceful setting surrounded by National Trust land. Ben Lawers and Beinn Ghlas are behind the cottage and Ben More and Stob Binnein are visible along the valley. There are many other Munros nearby, making the cottage a perfect base for walkers. For those looking for a more relaxed break there are amazing views and lots of great places to visit. These include the Falls of Dochart, the Fortingall Yew, Glen Lyon, Kenmore Beach, and Dewar’s distillery in the town of Aberfeldy. The village of Killin is just 5 miles away.

The cottage is dog friendly and has access to an enclosed garden. There is also the option of walking dogs on the surrounding National Trust land. Owners need to be aware there can be sheep here, so dogs may need to be kept on leads. There are also many other nearby walks easily accessible by car.

As well as access to a large garden, there is a seating area in front of the property, and there is parking for two cars. Inside the property there is a kitchen/diner, a good size living room, as well as a downstairs cloakroom. The living room has large picture windows and a log burner. Whilst upstairs there is a large landing with seating and views towards the loch, a double bedroom with king size bed, a twin room and a bathroom.
